A test rig was designed for Ampyx Power to test their Tether Attachment System (TAS). This TAS module is part of their aircraft and functions as an anchor point to the tether (rope). On the other side of the tether, the ground station is connected. As the aircraft is flying in a specific pattern, wind energy is transformed into tether motion which is then tranformed into electrical energy on the ground station.
The test rig itself is adjustable so that the full range of TAS angles can be tested.
